Cross-Disciplinary Group at °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û Investigates Health Care Burnout in the Medical Fields

Health care burnout is an ongoing problem in all the medical fields. In fact, according to the U.S. surgeon general, 54% of doctors and nurses were experiencing burnout before the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the issue has only gotten worse. And students in the medical fields feel it just as much.

Now, a team of researchers at °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û is conducting an interdisciplinary study — in medicine, nursing and veterinary medicine. They are seeking to gather data that could determine ways to enhance programs and build resilience.

Read the full, multimedia story of this study, why resilience research matters, what causes burnout and the impact on students. It’s part of an ongoing series on Advancing Health Worldwide, showcasing °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û’ efforts to improve human and animal health.
